02 Nov October 2014 | Mobility Optimizer to manage international…

Following the review of its mobility policy (see story of April 2014), a leading Humanitarian Institution wanted to optimize its international staff assignment process. Optimis implemented its MobilityOptimizer (TM) software to support this organisation in publishing job openings, collecting and evaluating staff applications, and then optimize the assignments to match at best the organisation, staff and local managers needs.

Situation:
Following the review of its mobility policy (see story of April 2014), a leading Humanitarian Institution wanted to optimize its international staff assignment process. A specific software was required to perform this tasks as no such customized tool is available on the market.

Solution:
Optimis implemented its MobilityOptimizer (TM) software to support this organisation in:
– publishing job openings through Compendia (specific time of the year where multiple job openings are published
– collecting and evaluating staff applications
– optimizing the assignments to match at best the organisation, staff and local managers needs

The optimization is based on soft and hard criteria. The planner (using the software), can move applicants, change priorities, fill a position with no applicants and check instantly the consequences on the global planning. The tool can be interfaced to HRIS such as SAP/SuccessFactors.

Results:
The nw policy is enabled by the software MobilityOptimizer (TM). Matching people, Managers and organisation needs is now optimial and the process is efficient through automation in the software. The institution is recommending this software to all the institutions dealing with international staff rotations.
